Single parents interested in exchanging ideas in parenting
and emotional support, as well as socializing with other single parents, should attend a Newcomer Membership Orientation meeting held monthly exclusively for PARENTS WITHOUT PARTNERS.

KIDS WORKSHOP ~ THE HOME DEPOT
Designed for kids 5-12, this workshop teaches Do-Ityourself skills, while instilling a sense of accomplishment. Free

SNAKES, SPIDERS, AND LIZARDS, OH MY!!
Come check out the Reptile Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Grayslake (Route 120 & Route 45). You can see everything from geckos to turtles! You can ask questions and even purchase your favorite reptile if you wish! Admission $5 (children 10 and under Free)

HAND LED PONY RIDES ON HORSES
Bring your child, grandchild, Bring your camera as your little one goes around the lighted indoor arena. Bring a special treat of long stemmed carrots for the horses if you can.

LAKE GENEVA BOAT RIDES
Join other PWP families for a fun afternoon on a 1 hour Boat Ride/Ice Cream Social. MEET at the dock, boat departs 2:30pm Sharp!

FAMILY/EDUCATION CICADA MANIA
Forest preserve naturalists will explain the emergence process as visitors observe the insects first-hand. Interactiveexhibits, family-oriented chats, short film screening. Music, Snacks, games, crafts round out the day. Open to 5pm. All Ages.

FAMILY LEO & SOCIAL CULVERS
Join other PWP families for a lunch out to celebrate June Birthdays. COST OYO Then we can head to:CENTRAL PARK, There is a playground for the kids to burn off that ice cream energy, and/or Frisbee toss.

FAMILY/EDUCATION ILLINOIS RAILWAY MUSEUM
The IRM is the result of decades of effort by a dynamic group of dedicated volunteers. Their mission is to demonstrate the vital role railroads have played in the area as well as the USA. Exhibits provide an interactive, educational experience for visitors of all ages. COST OYO

Please NOTE that this calendar gives you a general idea of our activities. Although new members are required to attend a NEWCOMERS orientation, we realize that schedules may not permit each of us to attend the orientations as scheduled here. Our Membership Director will work with you and your schedule. We do ask that you RSVP to all events.
