Weds. Oct. 1:  Chapter Meetings.  7:00 PM - ?  November planning and CBOD meetings.  Sat. Oct. 4:  Family Social.  12:00 PM - ?  LONG GROVE APPLE FEST. Bring the kids and lets enjoy this annual Fall harvest festival. All kinds of apple treats and eats for sale along with kid’s activities all day. Sat. Oct. 4:  Adult Social.  8:00 PM - ?  RETRO DANCE NIGHT, Sundance Saloon, Waukegan, IL.  Flashback to dance music from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s.  Get together for this once monthly event at Sundance.  Come dance or just hang out and listen to our favorite music. Sun. Oct. 5:  Family Social.  3:30 PM - 4:45 PM. KIDS PLAYGROUND, INDEPENDENCE GROVE, RouLibertyville, IL Let’s get together (weather permitting) for kids play at the park before heading to Austin’s to eat. Sun. Oct. 5:  Family LEO.  5:00 PM.  AUSTIN’S EATERY.  Libertyville, IL.  Another favorite place, where the food is great and Kids eat for FREE with a paying adult (They do charge full Price for beverages). Join us for a dinner out to celebrate October birthdays!! Sat. Oct. 11:  Newcomer Orientation.  10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  Gurnee Starbucks off of Dilley’s at Grand Avenue.  Welcome New Members!! Sat. Oct. 11:  Adult Education.  6:30 PM - 8:00 PM.  Libertyville, IL.  TASTEFULLY SIMPLE PARTY.  An alumnus of PWP will give us a presentation and Free Samples of the new fall line of Tastefully Simple products including some exciting new Beverages. Sat. Oct. 11:  Adult Social.  8:00 PM - ?  Libertyville, IL.  OKTOBERFEST HOUSE PARTY immediately following the Tastefully Simple Party.  Let’s celebrate autumn in good old European Fashion. If you like beer, bring an exotic brew and we’ll trade so we can all try something different! The host will provide the brats, you bring the side dishes and leiderhosen! Sun. Oct. 12:  Adult Social.  6:00PM - 10:00 PM.  TOMMY'S SPORTS PUB.  Rt. 12, Spring Grove, IL.  Join us for free pool, domestic beer specials and great food. Mon. Oct. 13:  Family Social.  10:00 AM - ?  RICHARDSON CORN MAZE.  Spring Grove, IL.  Day off School is a good time to head to the World’s Largest Corn Maze.. But don’t let the size scare you, it is designed in sections of smaller mazes so you can do as much as you want and get out easily. Thurs. Oct. 16.  Family LEO.  6:30 PM - ?.  Moretti's.  164 S. Rt. 12, Fox Lake, IL.  1/2 PRICE PIZZA NIGHT!  Wide ranging menu including pizza, Italian and American Cuisine.  Something for everyone!   Sat. Oct. 18:  Family Fun.  11:30 AM . LUNCH (Place to be determined), followed by HORSEBACK RIDING at the Chain O’Lakes.  Spring Grove, IL.  Come enjoy the crisp, fall weather and falling leaves with an afternoon of horseback riding. Older children welcome. Sat. Oct. 18:  Family Social.  4:00 PM- ?  FAMILY FUN/KIDS‘ HALLOWEEN PARTY.  Round Lake, IL.  This could be a dress rehearsal for the Big Night of Hallow! Bring the kiddies, their costumes, and plan to have a ghoulishly good time! Don’t forget the camera!  BYOB (No Alcohol at Family Events) and a snack and/or treat! Sun. Oct. 19:  Family Education.  12:00 PM - 4:00 PM.  TRAIL OF HISTORY GLACIAL PARK.  Ringwood, IL.   McHenry PWP has invited us to join them in this great experience! Meet at the main entrance for a 1 mile hike through the park to the encampment site and a Living History re-enactment of life as it was from 1670-1850 in the former Northwest Territory. Fri. Oct. 24:  Adult Social.  7:00 PM - 10:00 PM.  HAYRIDE/BONFIRE at Patch 22 in Wadsworth, IL.  Join us for a fun Hayride, Bonfire, and Hot Dog Roast!! PWP will provide Hot dogs w/condiments. Bring your own roasting stick, lawn chair, and beverage of choice. Sat. Oct. 25:  Newcomer Orientation.  10:00 AM - 11:00 AM.  PANERA BREAD.  Hunt Club Rd. at Grand Ave. Gurnee, IL.  Welome New Members! Sun.  Oct. 26:  Adult Social.  6:00 PM - 10:00 PM.  Tommy's Sports Pub.  Spring Grove, IL.  Join us for free pool, domestic beer specials and great food! Fri. Oct. 31:  Adult Social.  8:00 PM - ? HALLOWEEN DANCE PARTY, Lake Villa VFW.  The VFW has invited  PWP to co-host their annual Halloween Dance Party this year!  We will have our favorite DJ Deena in the house, a costume contest with cash prizes, very reasonable drink prices, and a FREE buffet. PWP and VFW will provide a main dish, please bring an appetizer side dish to pass. All this for NO COVER this year!! This is an Open Event, Bring Friends, Spread the Word… A Ghoulishly Great time will be had by all who attend!!
